DRAFT — requires review by payments counsel and election-law counsel before publication.
1. Platform Disclosure (All Arcades)
Required on every chip-in flow, before the Player confirms payment:
CHIP is a technology platform, not a charity or political committee. Live chip-ins are not open yet. Before any payment is accepted, CHIP will show the processor, recipient, processing costs, refund policy, and required disclosures.
CHIP launch fees are charged separately to the Creator and are not deducted from a chip-in. Any approved processing fee, CHIP platform fee, or optional CHIP support amount must be shown as a separate line before confirmation.
2. Tax Status Disclosures
The applicable disclosure must appear on every chip-in flow, based on the Creator's entity type.
2.1 501(c)(3) Charitable Organizations
The Creator legal name, tax status, deductibility statement, and EIN appear here after the Creator's compliance profile is approved.
No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution.

The tax-deductible portion of your contribution is shown before confirmation after subtracting the fair market value of any goods or services received.

If a Creator operates both a 501(c)(3) charitable arm and a 501(c)(4) advocacy arm, the selected entity and allocation appear before confirmation. Contributions to the 501(c)(3) may be tax-deductible. Contributions to the 501(c)(4) are NOT tax-deductible. Please confirm your allocation before proceeding.
2.4 Political Action Committees (PACs)
The Creator legal name and PAC status appear here after the political compliance profile is approved. Contributions to PACs are NOT tax-deductible. Federal law requires collection of name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions exceeding $200 in a calendar year. This information is reported to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
2.5 Candidate Campaigns
The Creator legal name, candidate committee status, and current contribution limit appear here after the political compliance profile is approved. Contributions to candidate campaigns are NOT tax-deductible. Federal law requires collection of name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions exceeding $200 in a calendar year. This information is reported to the FEC.
Contributions from foreign nationals, federal government contractors, and corporations are prohibited. By proceeding, you confirm you are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident making this contribution from your own funds.
2.6 Community / Unregistered Groups
The Creator legal name and community/grassroots status appear here after the compliance profile is approved. Contributions to non-charitable community groups are generally NOT tax-deductible. Please consult a tax professional.
3. State Charitable Solicitation Disclosures

Contributions from foreign nationals, federal contractors, and corporations are prohibited. All contributions must be made from the donor's own funds and may not be reimbursed by another person.

7. No Investment or Expectation of Return
Your chip-in is a contribution, not an investment. You receive no equity, ownership, or financial return. The "win" in CHIP's "Chip in. Stack up. Win." refers to the funded objective, not a monetary prize or payout.
8. Consent to Electronic Communications
By proceeding, you consent to receive electronic communications from CHIP regarding your account and chip-ins (transactional) and from the Creator regarding their arcade (per your contact preferences). You may manage your contact preferences in Settings at any time.
